Question about woodworking?

Sofisticated Asked: Question about woodworking?

I'm 15 and I'm looking for a hobby/job to keep me occupied. I tried numerous hobbies in the past, but none were right for me. So yesterday I got this idea: what about woodworking? I'm pretty creative, I just don't know how to express since I'm not good at drawing/painting, so maybe woodworking would be a good escape for me? What do you think? I haven't tried it before so I don't know. What would I need to get started?

If you live in an apartment I would say no. If you live in a house and can get a small corner of the garage you could some small projects. Woodworking as a whole requires a lot of space and large power tools, such as table saws, drill presses, band saws, et cetera. If you limit yourself to small projects with finished lumber you get can by with hand tools. A fair bit of money will be needed as well.

There are a lot of neat things you can do with a dremel or a scroll saw.

Building paper models can also be a lot of fun, and it will save you a lot of money over wood.
